Youth from every high school across Eau Claire County influence their peers and inspire adults by working together to make a positive difference in their schools and their larger communities.
SADD - Students Against Destructive Decisions
Students involved with SADD at Altoona, August, Fall Creek, Eau Claire-Memorial, Eau Claire-North and Regis high schools are committed to reducing harmful behaviors amongst their peers by enacting advocacy activities throughout the year to spread awareness of the issues presented with problems like underage drinking.
At the beginning of every school year, training sessions are held to present the campaign for the upcoming school year. Every two months, students at all schools discuss creative ways to spread a new theme related to the campaign to the rest of their school and to their communities.
YAB - Youth Advocacy Board
The Youth Advocacy Board is the Leadership group for SADD with 1-3 representatives from each of the six Eau Claire County High Schools. YAB meets at least once a month for county-wide communication, collaboration and activism planning.

FACT - Fighting Against Corporate Tobacco
FACT is a youth-led movement that takes action and creates change by:
- Exposing Big Tobacco's dirty secrets and deceptive practices
- Empowering Wisconsin teens to stand up to an industry that's lying to us
- Understanding that FACT's fight is with the tobacco industry - not smokers
To date, there are more than 14,000 FACT members in 72 Wisconsin counties. Local schools involved in the past 5 years include: Eau Claire-North, Eau Claire-Memorial, and Augusta high schools and Altoona, Fall Creek and Delong middle schools. Together, they've been instrumental in helping the city of Eau Claire go smoke-free and lobbying for tobacco tax increases.
